Art to parts
Drop in one flat illustration and get it back in layers (head, torso, every limb, hair, eyes, mouth) with the areas hidden behind other parts painted in. The slowest step of 2D rigging, done in a minute.
Rigby2D Cloud · coming soon
Rigby2D rigs and animates for free. Cloud makes what a rig needs and you may not have: the separate parts, the missing art and the motion. It runs AI models too large for a laptop, as an optional subscription.
The waitlist opens soon. Until then, watch the repository on GitHub (Watch ▸ Custom ▸ Releases) to hear about the launch.

Mouth shapes for lip-sync, blinks, expressions, hands, a back or three-quarter view, new outfits as skins: drawn to match your character, so one drawing becomes a complete rig.
Film yourself on a phone and get keyframes on any rig, cleaned up and retargeted to cartoon proportions, ready to polish in the editor.
Post a playable character to a link or embed it on your page, and send review links where your team comments on any frame in the browser.
AI sprite generators give you fixed frames. A Rigby2D character is a skeleton: animations blend into each other, arms aim with IK, hair and cloth move with physics, outfits swap as skins, and it plays smoothly at any frame rate and resolution in a fraction of the file size. Cloud gets you there from a single drawing.
Everything Rigby2D does today: the editor with its auto-rig and lip-sync, every runtime (JavaScript, Rust, Godot, Unity), the MCP server for AI assistants and the export formats. Rigs made with Cloud are ordinary Rigby2D files, so they keep working without it.
